Pluvio Grow Drip 13
A precision watering instrument

Rain,
with a brain.

From cactus to cauliflower, every plant gets its drip.

Pluvio Grow Drip 13 waters thirteen plants individually — each measured to the milliliter, scheduled to the day, delivered without a mess. Houseplants, herbs, vegetables — anything that grows.

About

Greg Powell, founder of Pluvio

Pluvio is built by Greg Powell. He holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria (2001) and has spent over two decades on commercial hardware work — building products for embedded systems, secure communications, and haptic VR through senior roles at Algo Communication, Teradici, and Intelligent Haptronic, and consulting independently since 2019 through Powell Electronic Inc.

From 2009 to 2015, Greg co-founded and ran Helios, a Vancouver company that built two consumer hardware products neither of which reached customers: an LED growlight with a ball-chain winch and proximity sensor for scheduled daily light integral and spectrum control, and the Helios LC1, a Bluetooth Low Energy bulb adapter for any standard Edison socket. The LC1 passed CSA safety and FCC regulatory approval and went to Kickstarter in February 2013 with a $300,000 goal; the team canceled the campaign two weeks in at 95 backers and $8,457 raised. The lesson Greg took from both: a hardware product is half engineering and half the marketing engine that gets it to the people who'd benefit from it.

Pluvio

Pluvio is precision indoor watering for people who care about their plants. Patent pending.
